Matthew 7:16-20 NIV “By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.”
Matthew 7:21-23 NIV “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 NIV “ The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.”
And what specifically is that “truth” that the Apostle Paul speaks about in 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2?
2 Thessalonians 2:13-15 NIV “But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.“
Galatians 1:6-9 NIV “ I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!”
Speaking about angels from heaven, leader Cal Piece, as a true NARite, follows their aberrant teachings as demonstrated by Cal’s chapter nine excerpt from the book The Physics of Heaven. Cal meets “the energy angel” who according to this tale had been sent to teach Cal about “a water car” –a proposed car of the future. Why, Cal even took a walk with his energy angel. As a result of this “angel adventure,” shares Cal, he is now into exploring how to produce power with sound. But don’t take my word for it, read it yourself:
There are many others Scripture verses that I could include to show the connection between the “strong delusion” and “signs and wonders” movement within the Christian church today, which we have come to know as the “New Apostolic Reformation” movement (NAR) but as I’m sure that most of you already know, the NAR movement loves to quote scripture too. And of course, where scripture doesn’t agree with their doctrine, well they just make up their own doctrine or create a new “updated” version of the scriptures called the “Passion Bible” and change or add words to strengthen their NAR doctrinal position.
I’ve already authored a number of posts of the NAR movement and which you can view by selecting “New Apostolic Reformation” under Post Categories, on the right hand side of my Home page, one of which (click here) also addresses the faith healing ministries of the NAR movement that are now associated with the International Association of Healing Rooms (IAHR), that Cal Pierce is the head of.
CAL PIERCE COMES FROM THE TREE OF NAR.
He teaches the doctrines of the NAR movement and serves as an authoritative Apostle within that organization. And like so many of the NAR movement, Cal Pierce publishes books. You can buy them in the Healing Room libraries along with numerous other books by other well known NAR authors such as Bill Johnson/Bethel Church, Che Ahn, Cindy Jacobs, Dutch Sheets, Heidi Baker, Kris Vallotton, Mike Bickle, Randy Clark and Rick Joyner, to name but a few.
Cal Pierce also authored the book that the IAHR Reading Rooms use as their manual of instruction, because anyone who wants to start up a Reading Room, must adhere to his training process and doctrine.
Cal Pierce borrowed extensively from the teachings of John G Lake (his teachings are available on the link on his name). John Lake advocated that all diseases originate from Satan. Here is a direct quote from one of the healing room websites “John Lake believed in the authority of the believer in Christ and in the power of the name of Jesus. He believed that any person could believe and receive healing in their body and deliverance from the oppression of the devil.” Is that scriptural?
I posted an article a while ago inquiring as to whether Is By His Stripes We Are Healed A Promise to Heal Everyone? Does God still heal today, yes He does but He decides, He is sovereign, there is no magic formula that if followed guarantees a healing. It didn’t happen in the New Testament Church and it doesn’t happen now where everyone is healed every time. And the vast majority of our illnesses are not due to the oppression of Satan but are due to our fallen nature, the now natural decay of our bodies and the way we live and the things we chose to eat plus contaminants we have chosen to place within our environment. And we all eventually die from some illness or failure of a body organ. Literally thousands of people recently prayed that Nabeel Qureshi would be healed of his stomach cancer and that included the earnest and heart felt prayers of many Churches and organizations but God still chose to take Nabeel home at the young age of 34.
What the Healing Rooms say about John Lake and what documented history says about John Lake are not one and the same. The doctrine that Cal Pierce uses to instruct those within his Healing Room association are false doctrines. Make sure you click on the “Read Entire Article” links available for each article under the above “false doctrines” link.
In addition, there is an excellent review of a book entitled “A More Excellent Way” by Henry Wright. Henry Wright is an individual who expounds upon many of the same lines of thinking that the Healing Rooms doctrine of Cal Pierce does.
The link to this review is here.
Plus the Apostle Peter uses the Old Testament scripture of “By His wounds you have been healed”, it is 1 Peter 2:24-25 and reads as follows: “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 25 For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
The context of this scripture, as used by the Apostle Peter, clearly shows that he is talking about a spiritual healing versus a physical healing, which is in keeping with the understanding of the vast majority of Protestant evangelical Christians.
If anyone doubts Cal Pierce’s association with Bethel Church in California or his borrowing of doctrine from John G Lake, along with, what is now included as part of their IAHR indoctrination and known as SOZO (saved, healed and delivered), or their use of the 7 Mountain Mandate, not to mention his affiliation with Graham Cooke or Randy Clark, please take the time to check out the following IAHR links which includes their Partner Program, online School of Transformation, plus additional critical informational links:
And if you have done any research at all about the New Apostolic Reformation you will quickly note that much of what they teach is not scriptural and their doctrines are quickly moving into the New Age arena. Check out spiritoferror.org if you don’t believe me. The critical documentation and doctrinal variances are overwhelming, yet people continue to be drawn into this movement, and in this particular case, I am specifically focusing on the Healing Rooms.
Do people really think that they won’t be led astray by Cal Pierce’s NAR teachings?
Do people think that their motive of helping others will offset any harm to others or danger to themselves they may encounter?
Do people think that their own perceived personal spiritual growth and gratification validates the risk?
Is the need for inclusion in witnessing and participating in “signs and wonders” so great that adhering to God’s Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is rendered as a “secondary” or lesser priority?
Do people really think that it’s not important to drill down and come to a thorough understanding of exactly what the IAHR and NAR teaches and believes?
God is still performing miracles and He still heals when He wills to do so. Author Lee Strobel has a new book out covering this very topic called “The Case for Miracles“.
There is an EXTREME danger just being associated with the IAHR organization. If anyone asked me what I thought they should do if they are currently involved with this organization, I would, without any reservation say – WALK AWAY – NOW.
Worthy is the Lamb! Blessings!
