New Apostolic Reformation Information Links

The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a dominionist movement. NAR doctrine also asserts that God is restoring the lost offices of church governance, namely the offices of Prophet and Apostle.

The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a title coined by Charles Wagner to describe a movement that seeks to establish a fourth house within Christendom (distinct from Catholicism, Protestantism and Orthodox Christianity).

Leading figures in this seemingly loosely organized movement claim that these Prophets and Apostles alone have the power and authority to execute God’s plans and purposes on earth. They believe they are laying the foundation for a global church, governed by them.

They place a greater emphasis on dreams, visions and extra-biblical revelation, than they do on the Bible, claiming that their revealed teachings and reported experiences (e.g. trips to heaven, face-to-face conversations with Jesus, visits by angels) are all valid means by which God is revealing a new way of working with His Church. New Age Mysticism permeates many of their leading figure books.

As some of you are aware, I have authored a number of posts on the New Apostolic Reformation before, which can be viewed by selecting “New Apostolic Reformation” under “Post Categories” on the right side of the main page of this blog. The history of how this movement formed is well documented. The spread of NAR associated Churches and organizations and their teachings around the world is literally staggering. I am providing a small number of available links below that I have personally viewed and that do provide much insight into this deceptive organization, should you wish to become more conversant about it (highly recommended).

Matthew 7:21-23 NIV  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Matthew 24:23-25 NIV At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  See, I have told you ahead of time.”

And finally I leave you with a compelling testimony (15 actually) of those who have become entangled with the NAR movement here.

Worthy is the Lamb! Blessings!

  1. Thanks for this, Bruce. Of course, there is nothing “new” about the NAR. Others have come before spreading the same doctrinal fallacies and others will follow, under a “new” name, of course

    • In essence you are correct, although the staggering growth of this movement and it’s associated sub organizations are new to it’s particular history. Lack of Biblical knowledge and discernment being key factors. The Church is literally being attacked from without and within. Thanks as always for your feedback! Grace and blessings!

  2. Great post, Bruce. The church needs to be so aware of this, yet they are being deceived instead,. I first heard of NAR in 2008 at Pure Life Ministries. At that time they said that 6 out of the top 10 Christian Best sellers were NAR books – staggering! I am guessing it’s the mysticism part that people are most attracted to. We must keep a watchful eye and ear all the time. Thanks for helping us to discern. Can you tell me which link you shared might be the best one to show the fallacies and comparisons with the truth?
