In Memory of Nabeel Qureshi

Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary date of when our brother Nabeel Qureshi went home to be with our Lord. Considering that I never had the pleasure of meeting Nabeel, I can think of few others who impacted my life in the manner that Nabeel did. I still think of him often and frequently ask our Lord to give Nabeel a hug for me.

I read his book “Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus” of course. If you haven’t read it, please do, it is undoubtedly a beautiful and moving experience. It is an eye opener with what is involved for someone of the Islamic faith to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I dare you to get through the book with dry eyes.

I also watched a good number of his videos that are available on Nabeel’s YouTube Channel called NQMinistries. Nabeel’s lovely wife Michelle continues on with his channel. Nabeel was an extremely gifted Evangelist. It’s hard not to sit on the edge of your seat when Nabeel speaks. No one could ever doubt the sincerity of Nabeel and the intensity of Nabeel’s desire to find God.

I also watched all the VLogs that Nabeel produced while he was going through his ordeal with stomach cancer. You can view them all in chronological order on this post on my site. If that isn’t a testimony of what faith looks like, I don’t know what is.

Then there’s David Wood, the man God chose to use, to bring Nabeel through the conversion process. David is unique for sure and a testimony to God’s grace, love and patience.

I could provide a long list of outstanding Christians who were associated with, and mentored Nabeel, not to mention Nabeel’s wife Michelle and their daughter Ayah, but I’m not going to. Instead I want to leave you with one short portion  (approximately three minutes) of one of Nabeel’s videos where Nabeel faces the possibility of his own death.

In my mind, Nabeel was a gift. And I, like many, cried when I learned that he had died. But the beauty of this story is that it doesn’t end here with Nabeel’s death, the end of this story still lies ahead, when we who loved Nabeel, see him again, in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, God’s only begotten Son.

Worthy is the Lamb! Blessings!
