I recently came across two individual, very thought provoking posts, both of which gave me a lot to think about. One of these posts was authored by John Piper, a man of God that I can’t help but respect, and the other is by Scott Klusendorf, the President for Life Training Institute.
John Piper’s post was written on the day that Donald Trump became President (20th January 2017) and Scott Klusendorf’s post was written exactly two years later on the 20th of January 2019.
John Piper’s post specifically addresses President Trump’s morality and how we should respond to it as Christians, while Scott Klusendorf’s post presents an excellent over view on the current state of the Pro Life movement.
I’m thinking that both of these men are exceptionally well qualified to speak in their respective areas of expertise.
I’ve mentioned previously that I have had a hard time with President Trump’s Presidency. John Piper’s post below helped me put that into what I consider a more balanced Christian perspective that aligns with God’s Word and I am indebted to him for that.
Scott Klesundorf’s post opened my eyes to the difficulties associated with the Pro Life anti abortion movement, specifically, as it can and should be associated with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I am indebted to him for that.
I’d love to make direct quotes from both of these posts, in this post, but that isn’t really necessary. Neither of these two men need me to do that, both state their case more than adequately.
Both of these men present us with a roadmap on how to deal with two very perplexing issues of our time. I am still Pro Life and I am still not a fan of President Trump. The following two posts have assisted me in understanding, at a deeper level, the nature and inherent problems of these two issues within the Christian context and the path and means whereby, I should walk.
Hopefully they will be of benefit to you also.
Worthy is the Lamb! Blessings!
