An Indepth Study of the New Apostolic Reformation Movement

If you haven’t heard of the New Apostolic Reformation Movement you’re not alone. Nevertheless the history, doctrine and organization of this movement within Christianity is simply astounding and hundreds of thousands upon hundreds of thousands of well meaning Christians are being led into a path of deception and “another Gospel”.

You’re not going to get a good working knowledge of this movement by reviewing two or three posts from the multitude of documented and warning articles put out by many Evangelical Christian Churches within Christianity on this movement. If you want to understand it, you are going to devote some serious time to it. That’s the long and the short of it. And that, just like reading what God’s Word actually says, is the kicker. Most people just can’t be bothered and therein lies the problem.

Please don’t make the mistake of thinking that this is just another fad within Christianity that will eventually fade away in time. It’s not going to fad away. It’s growing and it’s growing fast. If you take God’s Word seriously, you need to put this on your radar, yesterday.

The following list of links provides the vast majority of what you need to know. You owe it to your Church, your family and friends to be conversant with this movement. You’re also going to need to put in a lot more time in God’s Word. There is no short cut. God’s Word is our standard and it is the means by which all things we encounter are to be judged. If you’re not conversant with God’s Word you will have nothing to make a judgement from, no standard from which to compare.

  1. Thank you for this post. I really appreciate the time and effort you have put into it. The thing that concerns me the most is that people who are really serious about their relationship with God seem to be the ones who are seduced by it and many times they’re young and not a mature Christian yet. They are often young adults who have lived a sinful life and find Christ as their Savior. If the typical church seems “dead” they want to go where there is more enthusiasm. They like the music and the emotion. They want to be where everyone is excited about Jesus. This is how it starts. Before you know it, they are listening to false teaching. What is the Church to do? God bless you, Bruce!

    • It is indeed perplexing Cindy. Maturity definitely plays a significant part of the equation but I also think that part of it is what I call the prophet/servant perspective. Maturity takes time as does getting a good grounding in God’s Word. Being a prophet is much more alluring than being a servant, not to mention the visualization of results feeds into the “show me now” and “experience now” mentality of our culture. Interestingly enough, this need can and does get fed through the servant role also but the approaches are different. The servant role focuses on personal relationship with gifts of the Spirit following while the prophet role focuses on the gifts of the Spirit with the relationship following. Not to mention that not everyone is a prophet, or a teacher or has the gift of healing etc, which runs contrary to NAR teaching. Devoted mature mentors for youth in the church are an absolute necessity. Blessings to you also!

      • Thank you for your in-depth comments. I respect your opinion very much and read your blog often. I am astounded that so many believers are seduced by false teaching. However, I realize it happens gradually.
