My last post was on the eve of the New Year. I wrote about 2021 storming in and how to face the new year with courage. I had no idea about the storm that would hit just one week later—-

Here is the comment I posted on the article.
Here is an interesting challenge. Jesus says ““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.”
Not all Christians actually follow Jesus.
I think we must be careful in talking about Christians who do X. They aren’t clearly if the don’t follow the way of love outlined by Jesus.

I agree, I don’t think a lot do either and the side ramps leading off the narrow way are coming in from a number of different angles, be it the New Apostolic Reformation (Dominionism), the Prosperity Gospel or some within the far right, as in Christian Nationalism. I’d really be interested in your opinion on the ramifications of Christian Nationalism if you have the time. I can give you my private email if you’d like.

Howdy Bruce,
Here is my quick take but I will pray on it more.
We are here to be a light for the kingdom of God and not the city of man. I’m not personally moved over the issue of whether American or Canada is a “Christian Nation”.
I don’t think Jesus wants us to make “Christian Nations”.
Jesus makes our mission clear. We are to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
It is all about “God’s kingdom come, God’s will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”.
Our focus should be on the kingdom of God and the kingdom of God alone.
This is a great topic for an article or two. Would love to hear your thoughts. Is this an issue in Canada?
If you want to reach out, I can be found at michael.w.wilson@outlook.com
Blessings!
