God’s Holy Word

This Book of Books, this testimony of God, contains instructions on things.
Things that we are to do and things that we are not to do.
But it is more than an instruction book.
Because what this book does is that it reveals.
It reveals the heart, spirit and mind of man.
And it reveals the heart, Spirit and mind of God.
And the two are not one and the same.

There was a time when God and man were one in Spirit.
But this changed because man decided to be his own god.
Man originally had within Him, God’s Spirit, within his spirit, within a body.
And when man changed, man became just a body with a spirit.
But God’s Spirit is Holy and good and man’s is not.
Man loves, takes and gives because of self.
God loves, gives and takes unselfishly.

God is light and there is no darkness in Him.
Man is darkness and there is no light in him.
Light dispels darkness because it is light.
Darkness is devoid of light because it has no light.
This book reveals that man cannot in himself, again become like God in spirit.
What has been changed is beyond the capability of man to change.
That which was changed cannot by man, become unchanged.

Darkness cannot become light on its own. Light is the source.
So God in His love and goodness became man in the person of His Son.
God became man and walked among us in a fleshly body.
God’s Holy Spirit dwelt with the Son.
And the Son did for man, what the man could not do.
So that the man could again become one with God.
And the light could dispel the darkness.

Because it is a book where God does for man. what man cannot do.
It is a book of grace because that is what God is.
God gives unselfishly, He is the source of all life.
Our life exists in this body because our heart pumps the blood within us.
It is the means by which our body is fed and functions.
But our spirit within us has been changed, because it is separated from God.
It cannot on its own, return to what it was. God is the source, man is not.

So God, in His love and mercy, sent His Son, to shed His blood for us.
To give His life, because He is the source, for us, so that we could again
Become one with God in our spirit. Because God is the source.
And when God’s Son died, by the shedding of His innocent blood, those of us
Who believe in the testimony of the Son from the Father, also died, in Him.
Jesus died in our place, so that we might have His life, His Spirit, in our spirit again.
So through faith in the Son, our spirit is reborn into God’s Spirit and becomes alive again.

But God is the source, He can give up His life in His body
And He can make it alive again. And He did, exactly as He said He would.
Jesus rose from the dead to show us that He comes from the source.
That in fact, He and the Father and the Holy Spirit of God are one.
Because He is the source, He cannot die, God is eternal.
And because His Spirit now lives in our spirits again
We also are eternal in Him, even though these bodies will die.

This is our hope.

John 3:1-21 (NASB)

“Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; this man came to Jesus at night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus responded and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a person be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’  The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it is coming from and where it is going; so is everyone who has been born of the Spirit.”

Nicodemus responded and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “You are the teacher of Israel, and yet you do not understand these things? Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you people do not accept our testimony. If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven, except He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes will have eternal life in Him.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed. But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.”

Worthy is the Lamb! Blessings!

  1. Amen, if I could push that Like button more than once I would. For Salvation, For the Father, The Son, Spirit, The Word and for you too. God is good, I love Him so much and I crave His Word. I like that you didn’t go straight to the reward of Heaven but pointed out Life in Him. God truly wants to have fellowship with me and provided the means. Born again by the Spirit, from above – reunited, in Spirit, with God – that’s salvation. Jesus said, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”
