I Finally Wrote My Testimony

This morning, as I was driving into work, God reminded me that I had not written my testimony. I’d never really given this much thought but considering what He has put up with, concerning myself, I owe Him this and a whole bunch more.

I’ve written and posted “My Testimony”, and you can view it here. My prayer and hope is that it honours our Lord and blesses you.

Worthy is the Lamb! Blessings!

  1. Thank you for sharing your testimony Bruce. It is a powerful message for those people who feel they have no hope. I hope and pray that this message reaches those whom God has chosen, to draw them to His Son.

  2. Thank you for sharing such a personal story. We are all different in the details, but we also share so much in common. God bless you as you keep taking it one day at a time. We are 49 years and counting and I understand a little.

    • I hear you, Pastor and I thank you for your kind words. I find it kind of amazing how long it can take us to value and appreciate God’s truth. God’s blessings to you and yours, Pete.

    • Hi Kim, exactly, God’s faithfulness. It has a tendency to quiet one down, when you stop to think about it. Especially as one gets older. Thank you for the kind words, Kim. God’s continued blessings to you and yours.

  3. Wow, Bruce, now I know some things about you that I didn’t know before. I’ve written a summary of my testimony that will be posted as per my instructions (or they’d better be…) after my passing. The hardest thing is to keep our testimonies short – as you say, we could write books about all the Lord has done in our lives. That’s one good thing about blogging, I’m writing my story one little chapter at a time. 😉

    • Hi Annie, I hear you about keeping it short. So many stories, so many blessings, so many mistakes, so much grace. And each generation comes with its own set of trials. Mind boggling when you stop to think about it. I was going to say to be careful that those little chapters don’t turn into a book but I thought better 🙂 Honour God and the rest will come together! Thank you for sharing! God’s continued blessings to you and yours!

  4. It’s always good to find out the testimony part of a persons story. It’s a vulnerable part of us because it’s sacred and personal, not because we are ashamed of what God has done in our lives in any way as that is a “shout from the roof top” part of the story.
That being said, I have never written mine down. That’s something for me to think about. I would like 5 and 6 generations later to know

  6. Thankyou for sharing your story Bruce. What an interesting life you’ve led!
I could sure relate to your phrase “didn’t have a clue” but praise God that His grace is all sufficient.

    • My pleasure, Jo. You’re right about God’s grace. If there was only one word I could pick to encapsulate my walk with God, grace would have to be it. You have a beautiful gentleness about you, just wanted you to know that. God’s continued blessings to you and yours, Jo. One glorious day . . .

  7. Thank you for sharing this. I can definitely relate. Even making a commitment to Jesus in my teens, it is like you said, I didn’t have a clue. Jesus was in my life, a total commitment, but those needs to get my life straight that complicated the other relationships in the family – totally relatable. Thanks again.
